How long do volunteers participate?

Volunteers participate from 3 weeks up to 6 months, with possibilities to extend their participation period. Longer participations are very helpful in community development programs as well as administration management. Misión Gaia is recruiting volunteers able to commit to a minimum of 3 weeks of service.  Volunteers with more experience at Misión Gaia are most likely to be offered a leadership position, provided they have demonstrated responsibility, strong work ethic and teamwork skills during their service.  Longer terms of service also allow volunteers to learn more skills in a variety of areas, which facilitates the effective transfer of knowledge to newer volunteers. Longer participation periods also permit volunteers or Interns to have a rich understanding of local communities.

How can I make a donation?

All donations are well received to increase the positive impact we have in communities. We encourage volunteers or interns planning to work with Misión Gaia to fundraise independently before their arrival.  The work we do has always been enabled by donations from volunteers, local business and friends. We recommend you to visit the Donate page for more information.

We also receive other donations such as books, art materials, sports materials, bikes, skate boards, balls, tools, laptops and office stuff.

If you have any ideas you can bring to give the most durig your participation, please let us now trough voluntario@misiongaia.org.

I cannot afford participation costs. What can I do?

There are opportunities available to support your volunteer service through grants offered by charitable and non-profit organizations. If you find new resources and like to share them for future volunteers, please let us know.
