Communications & Volunteer Coordinator

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
The communication part of the position includes assuring that the internal, as well well as the external communication functions smoothly:
Daily e-mail correspondance (enquiries, applications etc)
Update and maintenance of internal manuals, documents, and processes
Webpage update and enhancement
Newsletter/blogs
Communications plan for social media
The volunteer coordination part comes with the following tasks:
Coordinating volunteers (selection, interviews, assistance upon arrival and during stay)
Check of project progress and volunteer coaching
Adapting and designing roles for the different projects for the organization
Fundraising campaigns are the third pillar of this role and crucial to secure funding for our projects.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Good oral and writing, editing and proofreading skills
Creative and visual skills
Good computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment (Office package)
Digital skills (digital and video communication and familiarity with social media)
Remarkable organizational & management skills
Integrity and approachability, as managers and staff must feel able to discuss sensitive and confidential issues with you
Curiosity and a willingness to challenge organizational culture when necessary
Understanding the sector we work in (NGO, voluntary)
Being fluent in both Spanish and English is desired, but not decisive. However, it is required to be fluent in one of them and have a minimum knowledge on the other language.
Experience in the fields of office administration, book keeping, public relations, marketing, digital and social media, volunteering, environmental conservation or animal welfare are not a requirement, but a passion and dedication for helping and making positive change is a must.
