VOCATIONAL TRAINING
It is important for high school students to have opportunities to train or obtain work experience in local tourism, to understand the panorama of this sector, its development, its trends, as well as to see possible job and professional development opportunities for their future.
GOALS
Implement a technical-vocational academic program that focuses on: English, agroecology and trades (for grade 6 to 9 students, spending two hours in each area) and English, tourism and sustainable development (for grade 10 and 11 students, spending two hours in each area) in weekly sessions.
Provide the opportunity to 30 young individuals from three institutions to win a scholarship to participate in an immersive workshop on entrepreneurship and environmental care for 4 days at the El Tabor retreat house in Minca.
Execute 2 field trips for young people who participate in vocational training activities.
Link the young individuals into technical practices in local businesses to promote technical skills in real life.
